Manor house

The mansion of Peetri, built in 1912, can be considered one of the best examples of heimatarchitecture in Estonia. The lord of the manor, Friedrich F. P. von Sivers, who originally commissioned the construction of the building and handed over the heart of the Heimtal manor to a younger relative, lived in the building together with his wife. After the establishment of the Republic of Estonia, the manor was leased to farmers. A school, a state farm recreation center and a boarding house have also operated in the manor, but since the end of the 90s, the building has been used as a family residence.

The volume and exterior of the building have been preserved in a close to original form. The two-story stone building on a high stone plinth has a spray plaster finish, the plinth has a gorgeous granite latticework, and the end walls of the attic floor are decorated with wafer. The first and second floors have a large stair hall in the middle, around which other rooms are located. The rooms are spacious and cozy, offering a feeling of traveling back in time with multi-paned windows, grand furniture and wooden interior decoration. In addition to the beautiful bedrooms, the house also has a billiard room, a sauna, a wonderful kitchen and a great dining room. The glass-walled veranda offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape and dam lakes.

Spa

Completed in 2024, the exterior architecture of the spa building (former stable) follows the exterior of the manor house designed by the architect Rudolf von Engelhardt from Tartu, playing with the heavy use of wafer, plaster and natural stone. The interior architecture follows the barn environment of the old manor's outbuilding, resulting in a stylish home spa with tropical plants, where you can find a pleasant finnish sauna, steam room, swimming pool and jacuzzi. The saunas are separated by mirrored glass, leaving the main room a complete, spacious and airy area. Spa complex gives guidance to other heritage manor owners that old buildings can be used in a way that respects the historical style, but in a completely different way than in the past.
